The inauguration of Zo United, a newly established organization with the mission of uniting Zo-ethnic communities in Manipur, took place at the Central YMA Hall in Aizawl. This significant event was overseen by Letpao Haokip, the singular Zo-ethnic Cabinet Minister in Manipur, and was attended by 48 leaders representing various Zo ethnic groups in Manipur. Additionally, two Zo ethnic ministers and five MLAs were also present to lend their support.
During the gathering, representatives from different organizations expressed their unwavering commitment to collaborate and ensure the effective operation of Zo United. The organization was officially founded on September 6, 2023, under the guidance of the NGO Coordination Committee.
The newly appointed leadership of Zo United is composed of:

Furthermore, various committee members representing diverse organizations were selected to play a crucial role within Zo United’s leadership structure.
The primary objective of Zo United is to foster unity among Zo-ethnic individuals residing in Manipur. This initiative materialized following the unanimous decision reached during a meeting of the NGO Coordination Committee in Mizoram on September 6, 2023, chaired by the President of the Central Young Mizo Association, where it was decided to bring together Zo-ethnic groups under the banner of ‘Zo United.’
