Kadir Rana, a former Member of Parliament associated with the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh, is facing legal trouble as he has been accused of various offenses, including tree theft, land encroachment, and pollution, according to the local police.
The allegations against the former Muzaffarnagar MP are multifaceted. It is reported that Kadir Rana’s factory is situated adjacent to agricultural land owned by his neighbor, Anita Gupta, in the Tanshipura area of Manglaur.
Anita Gupta has leveled serious accusations against Kadir Rana, claiming that he unlawfully cut down more than 50 poplar and eucalyptus trees that were situated on her land. Additionally, she alleges that he encroached upon her property by breaching its boundary wall.
Furthermore, Anita Gupta contends that her agricultural field has been negatively impacted by the release of chemical effluents and waste from Kadir Rana’s factory, resulting in harm to her crops.
In response to the complaint lodged by Anita Gupta, law enforcement authorities have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and initiated an official investigation into the matter, as confirmed by Circle Officer Bahadur Singh Chauhan of Manglaur. The case represents a complex legal situation that involves multiple alleged transgressions and will undergo further scrutiny as the investigation unfolds.
