Tragic Fire Incident Claims Life of Truck Driver in Ajmer

In a tragic incident in Ajmer district, a moving truck caught fire on Wednesday morning along National Highway 8, resulting in the unfortunate death of the driver, Hanuman Singh Mali, a 38-year-old resident of Phagi in Jaipur. The incident occurred in close proximity to the IOCL plant in Tabiji. Local authorities are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.

The incident has sparked controversy, with the sarpanch (village head) of Tabiji village, Rajendra Gaina, expressing concerns about the proximity of the IOCL gas plant to the incident site. Gaina submitted a memorandum to the district administration, raising questions about the emergency response from the company.

Despite the IOCL gas plant being just a few meters away from the burning truck, Gaina alleged that even after informing and requesting assistance, the company failed to dispatch its fire extinguishing equipment to rescue the trapped driver. The incident has raised concerns about the adequacy of emergency response measures in the area, prompting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
